Growing a Little Schulze: 8 Months!

Ellie insists on continuing to grow! She turned 8 months old on March 26th.

She started pulling up to stand last month so that's old hat. So this month she decided to tackle cruising. On April 4th she started cruising from the coffee table to the activity cube a few feet away. Then she started cruising all the way around the coffee table.

Food:
She added eggs, toast, pasta, chicken, and kidney beans to her food repertoire. All of which she loves! I'm so thrilled that she loves eggs since Claire doesn't. Someone to eat eggs with me in the morning!

Sleep:
She's taking two naps, one morning and one afternoon. She'll sleep until 7:30 or 7:45 and then go down for a nap around 10 or 10:30. In the afternoon she will go down around 2 or 3. She goes to bed around 7:30 or 7:45 and sleeps through the night most nights.

Fun stuff:
One day she crawled away from me while changing her diaper to go stand at the activity cube. Frustrating, until she started bouncing up and down and I got to watch her naked little bum shake!

Playing peek a poo makes her smile and sometimes even elicits a true giggle!

If she sees me sitting on the floor, she makes an immediate beeline for me. Then she proceeds to climb all over me or use me to pull up. Which is cute until I need my arms to do something, like help Claire with her shoes or clothes!

She's also become ticklish. She has the same ticklish spot on her left collarbone that left has.

She's just so content. She can entertain herself in the play room for 30 minutes. She is happy to cruise around and explore with check ins occasionally. She will come out to see me or peek around a corner and give me a big grin.

We also discovered she's not quite the sensation seeker her sister is. She isn't always thrilled with swinging in a baby swing and really doesn't like being tossed in the air. She makes a sad, scared face and then breaks into tears. Poor thing!
