Since Jeff is working a normal number of shifts this month (unlike crazy June), he actually has some days off to enjoy. One of them we went for a bike ride. We headed to part of the Silver Comet trail in a nearby town. We did about 16 miles round trip. Fortunately it was overcast and a little cooler so it wasn't totally unbearable. There was even a nice breeze at times.
Claire did pretty well for her first trip. She fought the helmet as we tried to put it on her. But once we got it on, strapped down, and got moving she was ok. It's too big so she did keep pushing it up so she could see. She did pretty good on the ride, getting cranky on the way back. I could hear Jeff singing to her at various points to keep her happy. (He was off in the distance as I go considerably slower than he would prefer). And then she fell asleep about 10 minutes from the end.
